the 'realtime sessions' is one of his latest live recordings wich are 100% uncut. (except the degrees merge remixed by repete). pure improvised arranging on the fly; never perfect but the flow is unique for this kind of tracks. the tracks are made with maetrixsolution in mind so also a kind of a special release of ronald. he has perfected his take between pumping breaks and dark, uplifting electro cuts, each track aimed firmly at the heart of analog music. no hyper twisted breaks, no digitally processed blasts of noise, but simple elegiac electro breaks. on track nr. two - 'mice in your cabinet' - the minimalist electro funk with its jacking acid bass line, waspish synth lines and skittering drums could come straight out of the studios of the motor city. 'twisted' is the intro track and pretends to be a IDM like album, but suddenly it changes to heavy breaks and rolling acidlines, like a cap. most of the tracks have a sinister other worldly edge to them, on 'monetary time flux' with its plings and plongs and stroking drums, the listener is left feeling spacedout and helplessly lost in the univers of roonan. his music is fearless, original and strong electronics and beats driven sounds. the repete edit 'from 3 angles perspective is a example of how roonan works in a live manner of upbuilding sounds and rhythm. there isn't much of that around and the world needs to hear this album. please folks; get in and consume!
